TRAINING FACILITIES AT Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport

There are two training facilities at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport : the Civil Aviation Safety Center and the Civil Aviation Technical School.


The Civil Aviation Safety Center and Training school
The Civil Aviation Safety Center
TheCivil Aviation Safety Center was created in the sixties by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with the objective of training pilots and crew numbers of national and foreign companies .During the war it was severely damaged and it was renovated in 1996 . We are now preparing with the help of (ICAO), the necessary studies to launch an International bid to re-equip and operate the center .

 
The Civil Aviation Technical School
Presently the Civil Aviation Technical School is temporarely hosted in the building of the Civil Aviation Safety Center. With the help of ICAO , the Civil Aviation Technical School resumed training Activities in 1997 .
The Training Programs are designed to prepare new recruits in the field of Air traffic Control, Communications, Meteorology and Maintenance.
The center is equipped with the most advanced training aids, mainly:



Aerodrome simulator

Simulators:
- Aerodrome Control Tower Simulator
- Non Radar Control Simulators
- Radar Control Simulator
- Flight Trainer
- Automated Message Switching Simulator


Laboratories:
- Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratory
