Class B Messages Charges:
According to the existing Lebanese laws, each group of five words in a Class B Message is charged as follows:
Syria : 1500 Lebanese Pounds (LBP). All other destinations : 2000 Lebanese Pounds (LBP).
Administrative information
Transition into the ICAO Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN)
In accordance with the planning and implementation of the ICAO CNS/ATM systems within the Middle East Region, a number of activities will be taken in consideration with the eventual aim of operating the Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) at Beirut International Airport. Lebanon is an active member of the Middle East Planning and Implementation Regional Group (MIDANPIRG), which is tasked with ensuring the continuous and coherent development of the Mid Regional Air Navigation Plan.

Meteorological Responsibilities
The Beirut VHF VOLMET Broadcast on 126.000MHZ
The Radio Telephony VHF VOLMET Broadcast at Rafic Hariri International Airport - Beirut, as required by the Air Navigation Plan, provides continuous transmission of current meteorological reports, with trend-type land forecasts to aircraft in flight for Beirut, Nicosia, Damascus, Amman, Cairo, Baghdad, Abadan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Istanbul, Ankara and Tehran airports.
Exchange of operational meteorological (OPMET) Information
In accordance with the MID and EUR Air Navigation Plans, Beirut Communication Center collects OPMET information (Routine Reports, selected Special Reports and Aerodrome Forecasts) related to the European and Middle East Regions for
dissemination over the AFTN, using direct-address messages, to selected Communication Centers in those Regions.
